实验室简介

膜生物学全国重点实验室成立于1988年，实验室由三个分室组成：膜生物化学与分子生物学分室（中国科学院动物研究所）、膜生物物理与膜生物工程分室（清华大学）、离子通道与受体分子生物学分室（北京大学），原名“生物膜与膜生物工程国家重点实验室”，2015年更名为“膜生物学国家重点实验室”。实验室于1990年通过国家验收并正式向国内外开放，于1996年、2001年、2006年、2011年、2016年通过国家评估。在全体成员的共同努力和学术委员会的悉心指导下，实验室在2011年和2016年的国家重点实验室评估中取得了“优秀”成绩。2024年12月被科技部正式获批为“膜生物学全国重点实验室”（英文名State Key Laboratory of Membrane Biology ），由清华大学和北京大学共同组建成立。

实验室注重基础研究与应用研究相结合，在膜生物学前沿方向上，面向解决人类疾病与健康相关问题，鼓励探索和突出原创，培养创新人才。研究目标是以生物膜结构与功能的动态调控机制为中心问题，结合本实验室的多学科交叉特色和当代生命科学前沿问题，在膜生物学基础研究方面不断取得重大原创性研究成果；同时面向国家在人口与健康、生物医药等方面的战略需求，深入开展生物膜相关的重大疾病研究，阐明其关键分子病理机制。通过发挥实验室多学科联合优势，积极开展学术交流和实质科研合作，建成世界一流的研究团队，在世界同行产生广泛影响力，建成生物膜研究和创新理论与技术的策源地。引领生物医学基础研究，强化科技攻关能力，带动行业发展。成为在生物膜研究方面有重要国际学术影响的实验室。

State Key Laboratory of Membrane Biology

The State Key Laboratory of Membrane Biology, affiliated with the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China, was founded in 1988 and successfully reorganized in 2025.Jointly established by Tsinghua University and Peking University, the laboratory is dedicated to exploring the frontiers of biological membranes—unraveling novel structures, discovering groundbreaking functions, and pioneering transformative applications. It also spearheads the development of cutting-edge imaging and probe technologies for membrane biology research, while leveraging high-resolution membrane protein structural elucidation to drive innovative drug discovery.

Over more than three decades of relentless pursuit, the laboratory has produced a remarkable series of groundbreaking “from 0 to 1” original achievements. Its research on membrane protein structure determination and the exploration and discovery of novel membrane-bound organelles stands at the forefront of the international scientific community, commanding significant global influence and prestige.
