  报告人简介:李晓红博士2000年毕业于中国科学院动物研究所,现任美国Van Andel Institute助理教授。主要研究方向是肿瘤微环境和信号调控。在Cancer Research, Oncogene, JBC等专业期刊发表多篇学术论文。   

  Abstract: 70% of breast or prostate cancer patients die with bone metastasis, which are resulted from the interactions among the disseminated tumor cells with cells in the bone microenvironment.  The bone microenvironment contains variety of cells differentiated from hematopoietic or mesenchymal lineage, as well as abundant growth factors such as transforming growth factor-β (TGF-β).  The effect of TGF-β signaling is highly context-dependent, plays central role in bone metastasis and tumor dormancy.  In this talk, I will share with you our published and unpublished studies on the cell-specific role and mechanism of TGF-β signaling in bone metastasis and tumor dormancy.
